Host Adam chats with James Ceely, the AFL’s Head of International, about his journey from playing footy in country NSW to helping grow Australian Rules football across more than 50 countries.
James shares how the AFL is expanding the game internationally through affiliates, school and junior programs, and talent pathways. He also looks back on the AFL Euro Cup in Newcastle in early July, which brought together 26 teams from 20 countries, and reflects on his experience coaching a Euro All Stars women’s team.
The conversation finishes with James’ vision for the future of Aussie Rules around the world and the AFL’s priorities for taking the game global.
